I have the Firestorm Mini .40. I have close to 6,000 rds through it without a failure, burp, hiccup of any sort, with some of the raunchiest ammo I can find. I believe that I could whittle out .40 S&W sticks, and this thing would feed a mag full of 'em

Another Bersa fan here. I bought a Thunder for my daughter a number of years ago and was very impressed.

I suppose they get a bad reputation because so many people think that you get what you pay for. I'm curious, if Glocks sold for $300, would people think less of them too?

My wife and I have matching, consecutive serial numbered, Thunder 380's in Duo-Tone from 2004. These are both from a batch where the slides were not heat-treated correctly, and, after many rounds, the slide catch notch rounds and the slide will not lock on the last round. Many of the 380s from this time had this issue and the factory fixed them without any issues. I still need to get mine fixed, as I never got around to shipping them off for the warranty work. They really were not what I was hoping for, so they've been sitting in the safe since about 2005 and haven't been shot since.

I haven't shot mine nearly as much as I should, but it only cost me $230 brand-new, and it's a pre-lock. Can't kick about that.
