Recently picked up a Colt Gunsite CCO. Love everything about the gun except the length of the trigger, which is very short (IMO). Not the trigger pull, mind you, the actual trigger itself. I have large hands.

Interested in hearing recommendations for trigger manufacturers/suppliers. Serrated front would be prefered, as would "solid" vs skeletonized, from an asthetics point of view.

Suggestions?

Triggers come with either short or long fingerpieces, and are interchangeable - which is a nice feature when it comes to 1911 style pistols.

I like the solid triggers made by Grieder. I usually use short triggers as I have small fingers, but I have tried 1911's with longer Grieder triggers. The fingerpiece is serrated, and they are oversized. This allows a very nice, wobble free fit.

One of the other armorers recommended a medium length trigger to me, and while I didn't get an opportunity to shoot his SW1911PD with it installed, it certainly felt good handling it.

It's a Greider Precison, lightweight medium trigger.

I've got one at the bench, and I may install it in either my new stainless Colt XSE or my new stainless/scandium SW1911Sc. Haven't decided yet ...

I've got one of the $17 McCormick jobs from Brownells on my Para LTC and it feels great.
