When I was a younger person and growing up in Minnesota, I ran
a trapline before school. As I recall, Fishers were very rare and
found mostly near the Canadian boarder and were in the same
family as weasel/ermine,mink, family. Any challege you, if they
were cornered. Fur used to be very valuable along with a critter
called a Martin. They pretty much go after any warm blooded
animal around their size and smaller. Like fox and owls, they pretty
well put a dent in mice populations. Usually pretty shy????
