Do You Make This Up

RAMPANT COLT,

Please tell me how the 230 grain HYDRO-SHOK.45ACP is less effective now than when it took over the .45ACP market in the 1990's? Does it expand less? Is the velocity lower? Is the jacket thicker? Not that I have observed.
If the new bonded bullets are better through denim, so what?
How has that made the 230 grain LESS EFFECTIVE?

Same thing with the 200 grain SPEER. It has been discontinued in the .45ACP. It had one main problem from the beginning. Feed reliability. I used it in 1911 models that would feed it and S&W model 25's. It was a VERY EFFECTIVE bullet and that has not changed. I believe it is still available as a .45 Long Colt load where the feed reliability is not a problem.

Why did the post you refer to not test the .357 magnum. Could it be that the 125 grain load which has proven so effective with the many agencies that used would invalidate the data you posted. It only penetrates 7 to 8 inches. It was the number one fight stopper before the .40 caliber 155 grain load came out.

That is not based on Martin FACKLER's theories, it was based on gunfights. The INS knew more about gunfighting than the FBI. The BORDER PATROL, a part of the INS was frequently in gunfights and has produced some of the best shots in the country.
Also, if the FBI is so gun saavy, why did they develop the 10m.m. lite load and the non-working S&W 1076 pistol.
Also, why did 8 of their agents nearly lose a gunfight with 2 criminals? The FBI report is about placing the blame on something besides the FBI and FACKLER went along with it.

I tend to be picky about where I obtain my information

- They're called Hydra-Shok. They came out in 1988
- Second-tier ammunition means it's second best
- I never said 230gr was "ineffective" - those are your words. Premuim JHP will expand under a wider variety of scenarios and obstacles.
- 4-layer denim testing will show if a hollowpoint will perform as advertised in a worst-case-scenario involving heavy clothing
- The 200gr Speer JHP is discontinued. End of argument.
- The 125gr JHP .357 Magnum penetrates 10"-13" in calibrated ballistic gelatin
- "INS the best shots in the country"? Got anything to back that claim?
- It's 10mm, not 10m.m.
- Where do you get your information from?

I get my terminal ballistic information from experts like Dr. Martin Fackler (America's most foremost forensic expert on ballistic injuries), Dr. Vincent DiMaio, Dr. Gary Roberts, Daniel Watters, firearmstactical.com, etc..

I'm not going to rebut any more of your posts
