Best alloy framed 9mm.

I would like to get opinions on the best production alloy framed 9mm in the market today. I am thinking of a new Beretta M9A1. Please give me your choices and why!

looks aren't harmed by putting a longer than standard barrel in it.

"Best" is very subjective.
Best for me would probably be the Sig aluminum alloy frames. They are well proven to be very tough and reliable.
My little 9mm P239 has never flinched at any type ammo I've fed it, and it is amazingly accurate all the way out to 25yds. (Maybe even farther, but I never tried it.)

CZ's are not Alloy, but steel.

If Alloy is what you are wanting, I would say Beretta or Sig.

S&W makes alloy frame semis. They are excellent. Equal in quality to sig or beretta, but beretta just looks better.

The PCR and P01 referenced are, in fact, made of aluminum alloy and not steel. The standard CZ75 is made of steel, and while an alloy is not likely the form of alloy (aluminum) that the OP was trying to infer.

Oh, and I'm in the Sig P226 camp.

Best alloy frame?

Well it's a matter of personal choice. For me it's the Beretta 92/96 which I carry CCW. Following that as the best "bang for the buck" would be the Stoeger Cougar 8000 in either 9mm or .40 S&W. I keep a Cougar as a "truck gun" and a BUG. Grip angle and controls are the same as the 92/96 family so I don't have any confusion or muscle memory issues. Cougar mags work in my 96 if absolutely necessary although I have 20+ mags for the 96. Just my .02. You gotta shoot what fits you and works for you.

i am thinking stoeger cougar. mild recoil. a friend of mine has a m9. i have a .40 cougar. recoil on these two guns seems the same to me. i imagine the 9mm cougar would have less felt recoil.

not on the market as new,the walther p88c is my favorite aluminum frame 9mm
