Best Ammo to use for DPMS 5.56 and DPMS LR-.308

I am really ignorant of all the different brands. I like to get some decent quality, yet not too expensive ammo for the .308. I see they are selling some types of ammo for $1.50 a bullet for the .308.

For the Sportical 5.56.. Can anyone make suggestions? I will be using this one for most of my practicing. I heard Wolf Ammo is not good for gun, I have seen it cheap. Would other brands do you think I canuse? The gun is chambered for .223/5.56. I just want some ammo that won't cause problems with gun but won't cost me a kidney.

According to rumor, the DPMS rifles have tight chambers. Real close to 1.630" dimension.

A gun with a chamber cut that tight is going to like commercial .308 Winchester ammo better than it will like the military surplus stuff. Let the chamber get dirty, and the milsurp stuff will start failing to feed.
