This thread is pretty straight forward. what is the best deal that you ever happened upon concerning a gun?

Personally, i was talking with an aquaintance of mine and he was looking to raise money for an AR project that he had in mind. He told me that he had a Remington 7615 he wanted to get rid of. stock sights and a factory 10 round magazine, little bit of wear on the finish but other than that it looked good. $350.00. had to jump on it, even if i did have to survive on cream of celery soup and a couple pheasants i had in the freezer for the next week. cool piece, totally worth it.

So lets hear it, what is the best deal you ever got on a gun?

got my springfield loaded ultra compact for a pretty good price. i dont ask around enough or shop enough to find great deals.

Traded a Lithgow Lee Enfield No1 Mk3 for a 95% 1971 Winchester 1894.
Never gonna give that rifle up

I traded a 60Mhz Dell computer for a Colt Lawman Series Wyatt Earp revolver. The computer was marginally obsolete at the time I made the deal 10 years ago. Obviously, the computer is now useless, the revolver on the other hand is worth at least what it was worth 10 years ago.

6.5 Carcano and 8mm Mauser for $75 together. The Carcano was a basket case and I ended up trading it for a rather enjoyable Mosin Nagant and I don't regret it a bit. That Carcano couldn't hit the broad side of a barn at 3 feet.

Either my S&W 6906 9mm w/3 mags for around $250-$300 or my S&W Model 10 .38 for $300 with aftermarket houge grips

i taught my friend how to do gun/horse trades 2 years ago and he just pulled this off

traded a savage heavy barrel target rifle+DPMS+Taurus 66 for a 1989 Jeep

drove it home, broke down, got his DPMS+Taurus 66 back and kept the jeep

fixed up the Jeep for $150

just sold it for $3500..........

my best deal so far has been a M28/30 Finnish Mosin for $100

Hello friends and neighbors // My 1953 Hungarian Mosin is one of my most accurate rifles so at $96.00 it was good deal but not the best.

I recently purchased an Excellent condition 1925 Winchester Model 94 (1894) in 32WS for $199.00. Mistagged but I was already buying a Ruger BlackHawk .30cal so they let me have it at the $199.00 price. He said if I did not buy it the new price would be $499.00. Great deal but I guess I have one better.

I also recently purchased a 1944 Springfield M1 Garand m1garand.jpg with $1000.00 worth of ammo.
Mismatched wood but it certainly looks battle worn, a plus to me. A bullet tip will disappear down the muzzle to the cartridge, so it is well used. :scrutiny:(full disclosure , I'm still satisfied) :D

Also included was a Romanian AK47 bullupup ak47bp.jpg that looks fairly new 300-500 rounds according to the owner.

I have yet to shoot these two but it has to be my BEST gun deal because for a total of $1000.00 I got an M1 Garand, an AK47BullPup and $1000.00 worth of ammo.

Making my BEST deal a FREE M1 Garand and a FREE AK47.

I found a CZ VZ 45 .25acp made in 1947 in 98% condition for $200.
I was an idiot to sell it but i needed more cash to fund another gun and i couldn't do much with the CZ except look at it.
Had i kept it i could have easily gotten $400 out of it but the quality made it worth much more than that.

Beretta Mini Cougar 40cal NIB $300. Man had it on layaway, picked it up, came home and wife had run off with another man. He needed cash, still have it, never fired with price sticker still on the box from a local gun store. She wasn't worth the loss in my opinion.

G17 3rd gen, NIB, 3 mags, extra Lone Wolf threaded barrel, leather holster for 500 bucks.

S&W 642, 200 rounds of ammo (.38 special hollow point), 2 leather holsters (pocket and IWB) for 400 bucks.

These deals made me happy. =)

a pawn shop find...Ruger Old Army...used..but not a mark on it...not a spot of rust...methinks they had no idea what it was worth......99 bucks.....

New HK USP Tactical .45 for $729
Marlin Lever action 44 mag used in excellent condition $75
HK USP 40 $325 Used but 95%

I bought a new Berreta 12 GA. Onyx O/U at Edelmans on Long Island NY +20 years ago for $1,000 cash.

...I think they were the highest volume dealer in NY but they went out of business a few years latter. ...anyway the gun reeks of quality.

Pawn shop find, a pre-64 Win. model 50 12ga. It had been painted green. The shop sold it for $89. I cleaned the paint off and it looked like new. I sold it for $250, wish I had kept it now though.
