Every firearm I've ever shot on a range has always hit the point to which it was aimed.



Perhaps that aim point wasn't quite where I was looking but the firearm always fired accurately.

Yesterday was windy, freshly cleaned bore on one rifle, forgot my coat. Not bad after about 20 shots down the barrel with the fresh cleaned bore.

I can't see the sight. This happened to me a few months ago. My eyes got fuzzy and i lost my sights for a moment at a match. I have cataract surgery next month.

Careful, or you'll strip the rifling.

Today, our excuse was the wind. We were shooting sporting clays, and regardless of the direction the clays were thrown, the wind was blowing opposite, or straight back at us. Oh, and the sun was in our eyes at three stations. It was mid afternoon and we faced directly into the sun. The clays just disappeared until they were almost on the ground.

Oh, and half my shells didn't have any shot in them.

It's a Ruger Mini 14! Somebody cleaned it with Simple Green! Somebody sprayed it with WD-40! I didn't pay enough for my scope! I must've gotten some water on it! I should have known better than to use oil meant for cars!
