Best Hand Primer

I'm in the Lee round tray camp, but can only compare it to the new Lee and an older RCBS. I'd promised a guy I'd give him my extra old version Lee, but I'm not sure where it is. I bought one of the new ones specifically to give him and I'm almost ashamed to.
I’m going to look for the old Lee one, just to have it and compare to the Frankford one

For me, there was no comparison. The squeeze required by the FA taxed my hand immediately, while simple thumb pressure on the old Lee allows me to prime dozens with little effort.
I need a classic Lee Primer! were can I buy one???

I like RCBS, I have both round tray (old style, need shell holder) and square tray (universal), I like the universal much better, easier to switch between large and small primers and the lever has more leverage to squeeze. Occasionally the universal shell holder does not hold the brass well and brass and primer flew away when squeezed, typically small diameter brass like 223, but you can sense when the brass is not held correctly.
What I don't know is if RCBS covers them with their life time warranty! The plastics tray looks fragile.

Had the Lee and sent it back. Lee can not seem to get priming right either on or off the press. Have the Franklin Arsenal and love it!!

For years and years I used the RCBS tool with the shell holder. I liked it because I could feel what it was doing versus priming on my Rockchucker. But that was for small batches of center fire hunting rounds.

When I started loading pistol I got the RCBS square tray one and don’t like it. Seems the primers aren’t square in the pocket.

Now I use the 550 for mass produced ammo, and the 30+ year old single/shellholder one for hunting guns.

Anybody want to trade some SPPs for an RCBS square tray primer?:)

RCBS Square is that good! lol! I got the one the uses the shell holder, I like it, a little chunky

K&M is a QUALITY unit.
The primer cup on the unit has an outer ring that seats against the case, then the primer cup telescopes up and seats the primer with a very good, solid feel. I just did 80 7mm Rem Mag brass this weekend, and it was nice.
