Best to me is a mixture of how it feels in the hand unfired and fired. The other key part is reliability. I think pistol accuracy is overrated as most will shoot better than you are capable of."Best" will mean different things to different people...
Lucky for me, i was smart enough to keep my "best" and unload the "others"!
So, i still have my OLD S&W M-29 44 Magnum that put a lot of meat in my freezer for me! I still have my amazing origional S&W 357 Magnum! and i still have my OLD S&W M-19 that i've carried for years and years!
A couple other "best" that i have are my OLD High Standard Victor that i won match after match with! And my OLD Colt Woodsman that i've carried trapping and my OLD S&W M-18 that also put a ton of meat in my freezer!
I just don't have a need to keep any second best!

Wow, that's impressive. Looking at your posts over the last couple weeks I realize we are fortunate to have access to your knowledge and skill.Compensated 1911's, shot a pair of them at a match. Won it rather handily without half trying, even with 230 gr cast bullets at 1000 fps, also borrowed
