Wilson 1911 9mm. Colt Python 357 as far as center fires.

Probably an S&W M25-5 in .45LC, "sweetened up" by Hamilton Bowen. I was fortunate enough to own it for a period of time. Sold it a year or two back to another board member who shall remain nameless, unless he chooses to do otherwise. 
A Smith and Wesson Model 66, 4", with an action job and Fuzzy Farant grips that were matched to a drawing of my hand. Carried it as a duty weapon and shot it a lot for many years. I shot it better than any other handgun. I sold it and have regretted it over the years.

Best, probably a 44 Automag way back in '78, did enjoy owning and shooting a S&W 27-2 for awhile. But my Custom S&W 65 with a 4" standard "pencil" barrel is my BEST right now.

While I hate shooting for me it was S&W 12-2 rb. It makes no sense but I got excellent groups with 158gr Hornady JHP loads with minimum effort. The gun had rudimentary notch for rear sight and about 2" barrel.

I took my P7M8 out of the box in 1985, it was clean from the factory - no metal shavings, grit, crud or anything, I cleaned it anyway and gave it a light coat of CLP. It fired flawlessly, no break in period. I have never had any failure of any kind with this pistol. I haven't fired milsurp, reloads, shot shells, Glaser Safety Slugs or the cheap Russian stuff through it, but otherwise I've fired every bullet weight, shape and design from every major manufacturer and I've never had a single failure of any kind - period.
This is the pistol I trust my life to:

Best revolver would be my friend Randy's... Smith & Wesson? (haven't been into revolvers at all; just finally ran across a Colt that was at a right price) Had about a 4" barrel, and shot .357... with a trigger pull that must have measured in ounces.
Neat gun.
Best semi? I shot a 1911 type Kimber in a class; liked it a lot, but my fave would have to be my little .22 Ruger Std. When I brought her home as a newbie, she was so full of lead and powder residue that I couldn't believe she was ever gonna' shoot worth a darn.
After an hour of cleaning (literally, about a half teaspoon of shmutz came out of the reciever, bolt, and other nooks and crannies), and another hour figuring out how to get a Ruger Standard back together (hint: Google searchstring should include "youtube", "dingle" and "cheese"), I got her ready for the range.
7 yards, first one down the pipe went through the black part of the target... KEEPER!
I've since then honed that sear mechanism and fiddled with springs; very light trigger. Just recently added one of those extended mag releases, too.
The grips' checkering is worn halfway off, I finished off the original magazine and extractor claw (had to replace 'em after several bricks - on top of whatever she'd had before) and the finish is really tired - but it's my favorite, over my G21, FEG PA-63, FN 1906, Browning Hi Power, or my Detective Special.
I'm not an awesome shot, but on a good day, I can put a magazine of ammo all on a pie plate from as far as I can run a target out at Sam's (70 or 75 feet). Which is better than I ever do with anything else.

Colt 70 Series made around 1978. Even with crappy GI sights it shot exactly where you aimed. Regretfully sold it when I needed money more than a great gun.
S&W Model 41. It was very easy to shoot and I was nearly as accurate with it as I was a .22 rifle. I just could not miss with that pistol

The best I've ever had? I don't know about that but these two are worthy of honorable mention and their pics are handy........

So far it has been my LCR.
USFA Single Action. This one was, and is, an absolute joy, from the first round. I have followed-up this one with more USFA Single Actions, in various configurations, and a Colt SAA, which are all largely the same when fired. I was a late-starter with single action sixguns, in my mid-thirties.
I must give honorable mention to my S&W Model 17, a K-frame .22 LR sixgun, which is my most-fired firearm.
Quite simply, I elected to go with the sixgun throwing the biggest hunk of lead, as that adds to the fun, which relegates the .22 to second place.
