Third-world goat herders don't seem to have a problem getting ammo for their AKs...

Obama isnt their president either...

Since the election panic buying frenzy calmed down a bit, the civilian counterpart to NATO ammo is the most plentiful from what I've seen. Never have a problem finding 9mm, .223, or .308 locally, but have to go online to find more than a box or two .45 ACP or 7.62X39...

Add a sprinkle of people who's only time spent on a trigger is in Call of Duty or at the range once or twice a year and you get this thread. And it always ends the same way. It will be locked, people will get there feelings hurt. And someone will flame out in Tech Support telling us how we all suck and the Mods are Nazis all because we did not support the use of his Beaumont rifle in modern settings. Wish I could figure out how to link a nice "beating a dead horse" gif in this...

The purpose of the OPs isn't knowledge, just stirring things up. Study guns long enough, you get to see them like a carpenter chooses hammers. You don't use a framer nailing trim up to finish the job. The caliber, action, and resulting weight and recoil have historically been getting smaller over the last 100 years because the science of analysis shows smaller guns actually do a better job.

You carry a bag phone around all day, then try a modern cell, you get the idea.
