Just wanted to get a general consensus on the best of these.

I've tried:
P365 with safety
Ruger ec9
Sig p938
Hellcat (x2)

I've shot a sw shield.

I don't have any of those as it stands. I'd probably rank them hellcat, ec9, 938, 365, shield.

But now there are a ton of new models...I can't keep up..

Csx looked interesting...i handled and liked

365 with the cool internal sites..

Mako...mossberg ..taurus...shield plus..

So. Many. Choices!

I am missing a smaller 9mm that my g19...where would you start looking?

I’ve shot most of those and owned a few, and while I’m not a huge fan of the modern U.S.-based SIG Sauer, the P365 is the best of them.

The M&P Sheild/Shield Plus would be my second choice.

Everything else trails behind those two.

Shield plus is my favorite amongst those by a good margin. Followed a good distance by the 365, then the Hellcat. Shield is the most shootable, has the best grip and grip texture, and the best trigger by a good bit. It shoots like a bigger weapon. The 365 is the most concealable.

I can't help you with any suggestions. I just sold a Sig 938 Extreme. I bought it, tried to love it but just couldn't get over the way the magazine baseplate protruded in the wrong direction. Having that overhang on the rear of the magazine was just weird. Having carried other single stack magazines where any protrusion. like a pinky rest, faced forward, I could never get used to the Sig 938 baseplate. They "solved" this with the 938 Legion but their solution is a bolt-on solution and it just doesn't look all that robust.

I don't like striker fired pistols for concealed carry. My preference, and I know it doesn't exist, and never will, would be a Sig 938 sized hammer fired pistol with a DA/SA trigger.

So in the meantime, when I'm not dressing around the gun, I suppose I'll keep carrying my Ruger LCP Custom until the right one comes along.

My thoughts as well, the 365 can work in a pocket, the Shield Plus..not so much, but the Shield Plus trigger is my favorite. I do like the Hellcat Pro though, it's like a shrunken G19 in a lot of ways.

Another vote for the Glock 43x.

As for a choice that isn't polymer, the Kimber Micro 9 is hard to beat as far as reliability, cool factor and accuracy in a small package imo. The only downside to it is the capacity.

I like the 365x/xl with a Wilson frame. Fits my hands best, shoots almost as well (better some days) as my Glock 19 and is much, much easier to conceal and carry.

I’ve tried the rest, Kimber Mako and Hellcat fit my hands well, Glock 43x/48 is next for me, standard 365/xl without Wilson and the Shields are too thin for my paws to grip right and control recoil adequately.

This is the Golden Age of Carry Guns. I have held most of the ones mentioned so far, but shot very few of them. I rented a couple of micros (XD-S, and maybe a G43(?)), but settled on a Shield 1.0 back then. Since then, I've become a rather unrepentant fan of the Shield line of pistols. There are plenty of excellent carry pistols out there, but my choice is the Shield Plus.

With the saturated market of micro 9’s I couldn’t even venture a guess as to which is better than the other. I will say that with the latest and greatest “high capacity” micros, I wouldn’t settle for anything that didn’t hold at least 10 rounds. I have range time with both the 365 and Hellcat, either one is just fine with me.

In micro 9’s, I have a Glock 43, a 43X, a Kimber Micro 9 and a Ruger LC9 (not really a micro per se, but it’s pretty small.) My Glock 48 is about the size of the Glock 19 so I did not count that one.

Of these, the 43X covers a lot of ground. The only issue is the grip is a tad long for deep concealment, but it fits my hands perfectly. The Micro 9 is cool in a 1911 sort of way, very thin but the capacity is lower than other small guns. The 43 is very compact, but it only holds 6 in the mag and is not fun to shoot. The LC9 is larger so it handles recoil pretty well, but the trigger pull is looong and not very accuracy inducing.

The 365/Hellcat were built ground up as micro double stacks, those guns are great in their smaller sizes for what you want. I just have them overlapped already or I would have one (or both ;)).

Stay safe

Check the used market for a Sig P290. If you like a hammer fired for the same reasons I do, this little DAO might suit your taste.

Can I mention the new Canik MC9? Seems like it's getting lots of positive reviews, as being exceptional.

If H&K would come out with a micro version of the P30SK, I'd be all in especially if it had the LEM trigger or DS/SA trigger.

I hear ya brother. The upcoming model looks to be a stack-and-a-half version of the VP9. If they decided to make a hammer/LEM2 model, I'd be all over it.

No chance in heck that they will do it though. Hope they prove me wrong.

Edit: I forgot to mention the best part. It looks like the new H&K will be able to support the RMRcc from the factory. That's huge! I'm not aware of any other micro 9 that supports the RMRcc without custom milling.

I have an Sig P290. Bought it several years ago and used to carry it a lot. But that was before the higher capacity guns came out. It was thinner than the G26 I carried. It is a good gun. DAO, it has a trigger pull similar to a DA revolver, long and heavy. But for a small gun with a heavy trigger, I actually shoot it pretty good out to 25 yards.

It’s heavy for its size, but that helps with recovery.
