OK, so I have this great sailboat, and I want to go off and see the world. I want to be armed, but a lot of the places I plan to go tend to frown on crazy gun-toting yanks. I figure one of the large bore scuba powered air rifles would make a fun toy and a useful tool without tripping too many alarm bells in foreign ports.

So who has one, and which ones give the best bang for the buck?

That's what the cannon's for! AAAARGH!:D

Seriously though, I/m about drooling over the idea of a good powered .22 air rifle with a quick follow-up shot possible.

Secondary question: Some of the big spring piston guns seem to have as much power as the PCP types. One of those might make more sense, even if their re-load time is longer. The main use would be plinking and, getting rid of birds that might otherwise poop on my boat too much. I won't rule out occasional small game hunting.

Mostly plinking though.

this guy makes the abolute best airguns in the world! he only uses the best materials, and he really knows what steel to use! he makes everything himself by hand too! he really stands by his products and can back them up.

but if you dont need a .45 caliber ball going 850 fps. them i dont see where a good crosman co2 would fail you. if you insist on a pcp then i say go to pyramidair.com and check out their selection

There I was all set to re-enter the reality of limited funds, and along comes your site.:D Now I know the world won't be right till I have one of those .50 cal thumpers. God knows what I'll use it for but it'll be fun!

I remember reading some Yachting magazine at a doctor's office one day. They were talking about a pirate attack and the fact that if the people had not been armed, they would have been killed. They were armed 'illegally', but who cares? Who says you can't have guns on your boat anyway?
