Just like the title says, where is the best place to currently order Swiss K-31's from? I have found a few websites selling them after about ten minutes on google but I have no idea which ones to trust. I can't stand buying sight unseen but I haven't found one locally so I guess this is my only real option if I want one. Open to any suggetsions except go to gunshows, because i have been for about a year and the only one I found the guy wanted $600 for.

Tell us where you found them and maybe we will have recommendations. I'm not playing a guessing game and searching the internet trying to find the same locations you found.

I'm not wanting anyone to play guessing games. The reason I'm asking is I don't know which online distributers to stay away from. Anyway the ones I remember having them are classic arms, empire arms, and gunbroker. I don't like auctions so I want to stay away from gunbroker. Any opinions on the other two?
I will also keep checking with allen's armory.

I ordered mine from Classic Arms, and was very happy with the price and service! Of course, they were about $120 cheaper when I got mine...

jgsales, aimsurplus, classic arms, southern ohio gun (sog), century, and samco come to mind as reputable dealers. I believe jgsales does have some K31's right now.

A buddy and I both ordered our K31s from SOG. The metal and bluing was in pristine shape while the furniture (particularly near the butt stock) was fairly dismal. I sanded and refinished my K31 and it came out beautifully, now appearing unissued if it weren't for the dark spots on the buttstock where the gouges were.
My buddy kept his in its original condition as he liked the "character", with Saint Bernard gnaw marks and all .

This was about 5 or more years ago though. I don't know what their K31s look like now, presuming they still have them

Here's mine (picture is 5 years old and yes, I do have a safe now):

I bought mine from J&G Sales in Arizona online and was very happy with the product. I think I paid $250 plus freight and the FFL guy to accept the shipment cost me about $300 all told. But it is a great weapon to shoot.

J&G Sales

Same here. Mine came from J&G with some lost blueing on the muzzle and a few dings (the butt stock wasn't any worse than the rest of the stock (which wasn't bad at all)). Mine was walnut stocked.

Classic Arms is good. I wouldn't order from Empire, because I don't like paying a $100 premium for the honor.

I believe AIM and SOG are out right now, but I've had great luck with both. CIA is good if/when they have them, just don't buy anything they put together.

You can also watch the For Sale forums here. They'll pop up occasionally, well rarely, and I've always had luck dealing with THR members. You could also list as WTB in the buy/sell area.
Good luck,

Looked at the one's at Samco (I think) and they listed them as having cracked stocks. I am going to assume they don't mean broken just small cracks. Can anyone attest to how badly cracked they are? I know every rifle will be different, but at least an understanding of how it’s going to look would be nice. I also know that none of these Swiss rifles have perfect stocks and that they can be fixed.

A big thumbs up for Simpsons also. You can see pics of every rifle on their website, and their customer service is great.
I've been on the phone with them, and the salesman actually went to get the two rifles I was interested in, so he could answer questions about them 'in person', so to speak.

Another place that has them is Colorado Gun Sales, though they tend to be a more expensive option. I haven't dealt with them myself though. Perhaps someon else can render a judgement?
