With a buddy and I waiting to receive our C&R licenses, I'm curious where the best place is to buy a Swiss K-31. This is going to be the first purchase we make with our C&Rs (the day they arrive) and will likely order them from the same place.
Nice furniture would be nice, but not a priority. The bore and metal is the primary concern.

Has anyone here had any pleasant dealings with anyone selling Swiss K-31s that they'd like to recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I got a pretty nice one from SOG for $99 about 3 months ago. The stock was mildly chewed up at the butt, but the metal was all pristine.

The cheapest place to get ammo is AIM though, at $168 for 480 rounds.

On Target sells rifles now? Shows how long it's been since I've actually been inside the place (stopped driving to Asheville after Rex's set up shop right down the road from me). I'll definately have to check that puppy out, it'll save me shipping. Thanks!

I'll also try Aim Surplus and Southern Ohio Guns to see what they have left.

Thanks for all the replies, folks.

If your not in a hurry to get one you might try one of the Internet Gun auction sites. I was able to purchase two rifles from the same person in Florida that were in 99% condition. Both have perfect wood and almost flawless blueing.

It took about 6 month's of looking , but I'v never seen a better condition K-31 than the two I bought.

If you don't wish to wait, I would go with fgsinc.8m.com. They cost a little more but have a better grade of rifle in my experience. Aim is a crapshoot, you never no what they will send in a K-31. SOG would be my second choice.

I just got one from AIM a few minutes ago. These things are definately worth $89.00, and a whole lot more if they are all in the shape that mine is in. I am quite the happy cruffler right now. :D

edit: Oh, mine came with a correct original sling on it as well.
