It began as a WalMart Remington 870 Express Magnum
I rebuilt it to resemble a Vietnam-era USMC Remington 870 Mark I, with 20" smoothbore deer barrel, original Remington military magazine tube extension w/barrel clamp/sling swivel/bayonet lug, metal heat shield, large button safety, monster green plastic magazine follower, and as a concession to modern materials, a Speedfeed Monte Carlo stock (for better eye alignment with the rifle sights). The choke is an extra-full turkey extended model, with the gun's carry load of 3" Magnum 000 Buckshot, the pattern at 40 yards is about 10 inches in diameter. My own version of Big Medicine, as it were. You can say I got a bit paranoid after a couple attempted break-ins at my old home in Citrus Heights, CA. It's still my current nightstand gun in Florida.
