As an outdoor revolver to carry while hiking, I prefer my Taurus 4" nickel M66 .357 magnum. It's accurate, powerful, can handle small game with wadcutters, and light to carry. I can carry more ammo than with the .45, too.
If I'm hunting, I take one of my Blackhawks, either the .357 or the .45 Colt and load a hot handload in it. Well, that's my REVOLVER of choice, anyway.
They're both 629-4 models, with the endurance package. The 3" version has been given Cylinder & Slide fixed sights and some other action work. The 6.5" Classic Power Port is stone cold stock. I had initially mounted a 2X scope on it for hunting, but decided I liked it better without it.
