Haven't tried mine out yet, but they do seem nice. Be advised their website is kinda funky, I didn't create an account when I ordered mine and I couldn't track it at all...lady on the phone even couldn't find the order, but then a few days later it appeared in the mail. Yaaaaay
I have a Butler Creek and love it. It is very reliable.
Don't ever buy an Eagle! They are a worthless piece of excrement, shouldn't be called anything but a plastic paperweight. Can't even contact the company because they are hiding from mad customers.
I use a butler creek steel lips magazine when I want to play assault rifle with my 10/22. It functions flawlessly, but isn't as tight fitting as I would like it. Those ti's look like a great design, that micro adjustment feature seems really useful.
Use the Butler Creek "Steel Lips".
The Butler Creek "Hot Lips" are plastic feed and they deform easier and quicker than the steel. I have both. The steel lips works fine after several hundred round, the hot lips are a bit touchier to feed reliably.
Its a price of roughly $20-$25 steel lips vs $15-$20 hot lips at places like Academy Sports or even Bass Pro (local shops).
Do you fellows feel these after market clips are superior to the factory Ruger clips? I would surmise that is why you purchase them, but I've had no problems with factory clips. Apparently you boys have? Please expand with your thoughts.
Factory mags are the best IMHO. I have some very old ones that I had to clean and re-tension, but they had twentyfive years use. I did have several Butler Creek mags, both steel lips and plastic lips, they are a reliable mag. When TI came out with their mags I tried one. Ended up selling all my Butler Creek and buying TI's both composite and aluminum. They are a little more money than the BC's but fully serviceable and adjustable for any mag well on aftermarket stocks.
My Krinker Plinker has a very tight mag well, oem mags are out of the question, you have a heck of a time removing them. I had an occasional feeding issue with the BC's because of the angle the mag well held the mag at. With the adjustable TI's I do not have a feeding issue. I set the trigger super light on the krinker and it bump fires so well you would swear it's FA, in fact I've been hassled by more than one leo type.
