Best SASS available under $3k?

Out of all the rifles i own, i do not own a "long range precision" type rifle. I want one to add to my collection. I know traditionally that bolt guns are preferred for accuracy, but i really want a semi-automatic in .308.

I will be taking long range shooting class in a few months that will be shooting in the 600-800yard range.

Here are my options: I am looking for something that can hold 1/2 MOA and cost less than $3k without optics of course.

1) Armalite Super SASS ~$2600
2) DPMS SASS ~$1800
3) GA Precision Armalite AR10 with Bartlein Stainless Match barrel ~$2200

What are your thoughts on this? Any other options that i am overlooking? Thanks for all inputs.

no, the military went with a KAC entry. i would go with the DPMS, just because the mags are much more available, and you can buy more uppers in other .308 length calibers.

My Armalite SuperSASS can do a 7-shot group at 3/4". I'd say a 3-shot group would be better, so it just depends.

As for mags, Armalite sells a 5-pack for $150.
