I am looking into getting a really accurate .22, leaning towards the Magnum Research versions. I do not care for cheap optics, but I need to limit this to $300.00.

What are my best choices in this range? Do I need to stick with a 50 yrd rimfire paralax adjusted scope, or can I stay accurate with a standard rifle set-up?

oxymoron (plural oxymorons or oxymora)

1. A figure of speech in which two words with opposing meanings are used together intentionally for effect.

Yes you need a scope with rimfire parallax setting, or better yet AO. (Adjustable Objective).

All high-power scopes have the parallax set at much further range then you typically shoot a .22. (unless they have AO)

60 yard pre-set:

Adjustable AO:

I'd save up for this one if I was you:

OK, I picked up the most glass I could for $300.00. I know it is probably not as robust as more pricey options, but a .22 rimfire is not going to beat it up much. I settled on a Bushnell Elite 3200 5X15X50 AO; got it on GB for $289.00 NIB. Should be all I need on a .22------
