I'm looking for either a Pachmayr Decelerator or a Limbsaver slip-on pad for my 700 BDL. I'm going to be ordering off the net and want to would like to be sure I get the appropriate size. Does anyone here have a 700 BDL and use a slip-on pad? If so what brand and what size and how's the fit? Thanks for any help.

I got mine from sportsmans guide. Its a limbsaver and I love it. Just get one to fit the remington 700. Wichever your shooting la or sa unless you put a aftermarket stock on it.
Mines on a 7mm mag and it feels like a 308

How old is your 700? I ask because my 1990 BDL didn't like the Simms one iota. It had a full 1/2" of stock hanging off the bottom of the pad so I went with a med. grind to fit Simms instead and used the other for my Model 70.

Be sure to measure.

Walmart sells the Limbsaver ones for $20. They have Winchester on the package, but if you read under it, it says it's Simms/Limbsaver on it. For some reason almost everything sold at Walmart no matter what it is says Winchester on the package now. The actual recoil pad says Limbsaver, and has no mention of Winchester. I can't tell a difference from these and the Limbsavers sold elsewhere. IMO this is the best deal, just because I've not seen them this cheap anywhere else. If it doesn't fit you can also take it back. I have one and love it. I'm not sure about the other brand though as I've never tried one.

My 700 BDL is only two years old. I am trying to keep it in its original condition as it was a gift from my father, hence why I'm looking at slip-on pads. Also it has a curved buttstock and there are no prefit pads available for it.
