Best speed loader for a Model 10?

It often simply comes down to preference of the shooter, but I have both HKS and Safariland speedloaders for my Smith Model 19, and I much prefer the Safariland speedloaders.

I like the Safariland ones a bit better. The HKS are great, they hold up well and everything, but Im not a big fan of having to twist the knob to unlock the rounds.

But if you have never shot a wheel gun with moonclips, you owe yourself to look into having it cut for moonclips. Hands-down the fastest reloading method available for a wheel gun.

Really, you need to try both HKS and Safariland and see what works for YOU best. They aren't that expensive, so you could get one of each and try them out, then buy more of the one you like.

But, which ever you decide on, also pickup some Bianchi Speed Strips, or similar product. They hold the cartridges in a much more easily carried manner. Slower, yes, but as you second or third reload, they are much easier to carry.

Thanks guys. yeah moonclips are good, as I have them for my 642-1 Pro.

It depends, to me, on the purpose, not the gun. I prefer HKS for carry, spring loaded versions for comp. Do a search and see about those cool billet aluminum ones. Five Star, I think.

I use both HKS and Safariland,Just don't try to turn the Safariland knob or push the HKS knob......

Realy try both see what feels better or faster if need be.
