CZ SP01 - Smoothest new out of the box trigger

I have had pleasure to shoot. And, after 2500 rounds down the pipe, even smoother. For a factory setup, it is hard to beat, and I have pulled the triggers on 19 varieties of glocks, H&K, Sig, S&W, Kahr, CZ, Colt, Ruger, Taurus, and few others.

The only triggers I have found to be near acceptable from the factory were a Ruger 10/22, CZ SP01, Bushmaster Carbon 15, Taurus Model 83 357, Kimber Pro II, Taurus PT911, Sig Trailside Hammerli, Tromix Saiga-12 8inch (Ok perhaps not stock).

"Pete,
Check out the CZ75P-01.

That looks nice and may be very close to what I'm looking for. I like that look and styling. I have a TZ-75 9mm which I like a lot, but it's just too big and too heavy for a carry gun. Something like the P-01 just might work right in. Thanks.

Pete,
Springfield Ultra Compact is a 1911-pattern Officers Model size pistol. Aluminum frame. I would guess it weighs between 25 and 30 ounces with an empty mag.

I have a HiPower with the Cylinder & Slide SFS safety system in it that has the best trigger of any gun I have, even better than the 1911's. The Cylinder & Slide mod replaces some of the trigger group parts and allows you to carry cocked but hammer down, it's nice for a carry gun and makes for a great trigger.

CDNN was selling them dirt cheap, if they're still available it's a heck of a deal.

Best out-of-the-box SA trigger I've experienced was a tie between my Kimber Gold Match and a CZ Combat 85. Among my 9s, the CZ 85 is light years ahead of the rest.

In decreasing order:

1. SIG P210, SIG X5, CZ 75 Tac-Sport, competition 1911s.
2. CZ-75 SP-01 (converted to SA), CZ-75 SA, BHP (with moderate work), carry-tuned 1911s.
3. HK P7M8 or PSP, Glocks with competition triggers/disconnectors.

I just got a S&W 952. Amazing trigger. At 41 oz empty it does not meet the requested criteria for carry. My CZ P-01 is my primary carry, but it is a DA pistol. Very nice SA trigger, but DA first shot. I don't know if CZ has an alloy compact in single action. I just had some trigger work done on my BHP. It's much better, but not quite a 1911 or 952. I also have the S&W1911PD Commander. Very good stock 1911 trigger out of the box, alloy frame and shorter slide. It probably needs a bobtail for perfect carry gun.
