Better sheath for my Becker?

I got my Becker BK7 a couple weeks ago and I am really impressed with it. I used to split quite a bit of wood in its first informal test and it was still sharp enough to shave with.
The only weak point that I see with it is the sheath. It seems like a half decent design with the little accessory pocket, but it just doesn't seem heavy enough, especially compared to that moose of a knife.
I am looking at either making a replacement for it out of leather and probably using the Kydex liner from the original or buying a replacement. Anyone have any suggestions? Is the original tougher than it looks? If so I might stick with it. What about the Blackhawk sheaths that Brigade Quartermaster sells? Will they fit the Becker?
Any help would be appreciated.

The original is MUCH tougher than it looks and the pocket is intentionally sized for an Altoids tin survival kit.

WRT the Blackhawk sheaths - I helped test the protos and their good sheaths, but they're not any better than the one you've already got.

The pocket is also the perfect size for my Gerber multi-tool. I'm sure a standard leatherman/SOG/swiss tool would fit just as well.

IF so, they mis-measured. I just tried to fit an empty Altoids tin in mine and the tin is too wide. That would be a good idea if it worked, though.
