To celebrate Bud (Smoke Rizen) and Annetta's anniversary today, we we treated them to a round of sporting clays, a first for both of them.

When we arrived, the club manager was loading clays in a machine.

"Is that a Remington" he asked. Bud was carrying an 1898 Remington rabbit eared double.

"Yep"

"may I see it?"

"You betcha"

Chunk looked it over and handed it back. "Nice!"

The 1898 is Bud's main gun, the one he uses for SASS events. He proceded to whip us soundly with it.

"Beware the man with one gun".

Larry,

I AGREE.

Smoke Rizen I met in person last week for the first time. I have paid close attention to his few posts all along. I kid you not, when I laid eyes on him I knew, when I looked into his eyes and felt that firm handshake, I knew for sure!

There is a quiet about folks that speaks volumes about them, experiences and abilities. Beware the man that shoots one gun - he know it! Bud is one such man.

There are others, I met another one named Chris for the first time in person last week too. I am honored to have been able to meet and shake their hands.

Bud is one I would really like to learn from someday.

Happy Anniversary Bud and Annette, thank you for your friendship and hospitality last week.

Regards,

Steve
