Anyone actually win a gun on the auction site. It's keeping with the High Road, mission statement , as it concerns guns. I just saw 3 guns priced around the 8-1200 dollar range get picked up for 18-40 dollars. How can this be a bad deal, I thought The Rhino just went for aproxametlly thirty bucks. A 460 cal for 14 bucks. Am I dreaming or is this for real. There is currentlly a Kimber war going on, since last night, it started at 1cent and has now hit the high 50 dollars, these guys have been bidding all day since last evening.
I know that they are making a fortune because you loose the money you bid weather you win the gun or not, so you must commit if you are serious. But it seems from my analysis, that you are dealing with a lot of people wo either don't know the value of certain models, or don't have enough money to go past 20-40 dollars. If so perhaps some deals can be had for guys who are willing to bid up to say 50% of what the gun is worth. That "thousand dollar Rhino" should have fetched moe than $30 dollars. I can't see this lasting too long at these prices" but wait". At .50 per penny it's 50 dollars per dollar in bids 100 x .50, multiply by 10 that's 500 per every ten dollars bid, so even at 30 dollars, they still made 1,500 on the gun plus the 30 dollars you pay because the bids only allow you to win the contest, "you still have to pay for the gun.
Is my math right or am I totally wrong here.If they get 600 bucks from that gun, someone paid wholsale price but they made thousands of dolars on one gun.Really screwing the cutomers who lost, "99%", to reward one person.
At this rate that kimber is already at 2000-2500, plus the end cost of the gun, so if it goes for 200 dollars, the make like 10 grand on the gun. Everyone else takes a bath. Very carney like isn't it?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. People think they're getting a great deal, when in fact most of the bidders are getting completely screwed and the company selling them is making a killing.

And another person figures out penny auctions aren't the deal of the century.

We really don't need yet another thread on penny auction gun sites.
