Ok, couldn't ressurect the necrothread.....

Basically I have a great reloading press with no bushings.

Well, it has two, but the person who has them still hasn't been able to turn them into a usable set of bushings :cuss:

So, anyone know where I might lay my hands on bushings for a Texan Shovel Handled 12 ga shotgun reloading press ?

You might want to look at the RCBS, Hornady, and PW bushings.

What are the hole sizes and how long are the bushings.

The Hornady bushings work for either the shot or powder. I don't remember which. I also found a few on e bay. And, I turned a few on the lathe.

I used to have dozens, Texan bushing bars fit MEC loaders before MEC went to bushings. I think they are all gone but will look in some boxes and cabinets. PW and/or Pacific might fit.

Even if you could tell me if some other brand fit the Texan, that'd be great. Current MEC bushings DO NOT FIT PROPERLY fit in this press.

Bushing bars will not fit in this progressive press. The bushings slide singly underneath/within the rotating top plate, its a completely different configuration from the MEC design, unfortunately it appears to be TEXAN specific.

It is like Longhorn 76 has said the Hornady bushings will fit. There is a adapter that will take the MEC bushings. I think Midway carries it.

I'd love anything at midway that does this, but Can't find it.

I will pick up a Hornady bushing on my way home, to test.

If you can't find the MEC adaptor at Midway, go to EBay. That's where I got mine.
