I've got a Marbles Woodcraft that my dad purchased new either right before or right after WWII. For several decades, it was his go-to knife for camping, hunting and a lot of fly-fishing.

I've had the knife for the past 17 years, but it hasn't been used much, since the sheath was missing and I have a number of other knives. However, as deer season is approaching, I thought it might be nice to use.

So, I sent Marbles an e-mail a few days ago, asking if I could purchase a new sheath directly from them, or if I had to go to an authorized dealer.

Within a day, they had shipped me a brand-new sheath (which is a much better design than the original) at no charge. :) The e-mail correspondance was prompt and very courteous. I am beyond impressed with their customer service, and thought it appropriate to let everyone here know what a good outfit they are.

I just decided about a week ago that I was going to buy a Marbles knife. In fact I spent a couple hours (in front of the TV) looking at websites and checking prices.
I don't need one. In fact I need another knife like I need a hole in the head. But, I always remember seeing those Marbles knives in books and magazines when I was a kid. When I was dreaming of running a trapline or hunting big game out in the wilds as a kid, I always pictured myself with one of those Marbles knives.
So, I am getting one.
