I'm looking for a summer CCW and I decided against the Kahr K9 Elite I almost bought (or any Kahr for than matter), and was considering a J-frame revolver. I had a S&W model 60 with a 3" barrel that I sold last year ( STILL kicking myself for letting that go :banghead: ) I think with an action/trigger job and the right grips, that gun would have worked well. Lesson learned. It will be my primary ccw for work.... anything from shorts/t-shirt to business casual, physically active job ( concrete QA/QC ), and ultra discretion a MUST. I prefer a stainless steel frame , 3" barrel (may consider 2 1/2"), the ability to add fixed nightsights.
Anyhow, I have medium size hands and I don't like the "pinky dangle". Does anyone make some nice grips for the J frame that's a little bigger than stock ones that provide a stable parking place for the pinky ? By the way, it will ride in a quality IWB holster on a dedicated gun belt (something off the shelf at first, just until a custom rig is ordered/received), and be fed a diet of .38's for practice and .38+P for carry. Any suggestions for some grips that will make the J frame work for me ???
