Just wondering what the general consensus is concerning binary triggers.

Anybody have one and can add some insight? Which is better and easier to install the Echo or Franklin?

I see Fosgate has completed lowers for sale. How is the quality?

Thinking about incorporating on on my next build.

Looks fun to shoot occasionally but seeing as you can dump a mag in 3 seconds I would guess that might get expensive to shoot very much.

Last year I came across an out-standing sale on the Fostech Echo Sport AR binary and, before my mental NaySaying Goalkeeper could rally, I had completed an order for one.

$250/delivered, IIRC. I could never talk myself into spending $375+ for a binary, but $250? <shrug>. :)

I managed to sate my standard adult male "Machine Gun Jones" decades ago, however, I thought that a binary installed in one of my AR Lowers would represent a nice/handy/interesting Option to have available.

The Franklin Armory AR binary appears to me to be both an easier Install & more easily/naturally controlled, but the Echo Sport Install was not particularly difficult for me or, I imagine, any relatively mechanically adept individual.

Enjoy!

As a range toy or for superfastdoubletapps they are great! I wouldn’t want to depend on one in Walter Mitty Machine Gun Mode for self defense as the longer your “burst” the lower the reliability. What happens is when your trigger cadence is to fast you will drop the hammer on an empty chamber and have to rack to continue firing.
Mine is a Franklin in a 10/22 with an M1 tribute stock. I call it the M2-22!

Get a mini 14 and a staple, waste some ammunition, then remove the staple and enjoy the semiautomatic.
