OK, my B-Day is next week. With any luck, the Wife will tell me I can go blow some money on gun stuff.

Now the tough part. Do I get more guns or buy other stuff that I've been putting off buying?
Case in point: I've had a .50 BMG upper for over a year now that remains unfired. Why? Because I still don't have a scope or rings for it. :banghead:
So it's completely useless as is, but at least I am safe from a Ban. :barf:

But buying new guns is always a good thing

So here I am trying to narrow down choices of what I should get.
1. Scope and rings for the .50
2. A .22 upper for my M16 so I can shoot full auto for less money
3. M1 or M1 carbine from CMP (I already have two M1s and 1 Carbine but have never gotten one from CMP)
4. M1A- She probably won't let me spend this much, but I don't have one yet
5. Just go into the Toy Store and see what jumps out at me (what I usually do)

I like choice 5. It's always fun to know you have that money to blow for toys and you will likely be happy with anything you pick up.

I'm the type that makes a list and ends up deviating anyway.:neener:

Have a Happy B-day!

Funny that you mention the Super Sniper scope. That's what I was planning on getting for the .50. I was going to get Badger Max-50 Rings for mounting. They cost as much as the scope.

I had forgotten about the Samples. That could save me $20 right there.
Thanks.

The issue with getting the .22 upper is finding Pre-ban mags for it, as I still live in MA. We hopefully will be leaving MA soon for The Live Free or Die State. We just need a sucker... I mean Buyer, for our house.

#5 seems to be most appealing because when you consider it all of the ones above are included.

but at least I am safe from a Ban.

Nope. They're not stupid. What are you going to do if they pass some law that requires you to just go turn it in? After all, it's because it's an evil terrorist rifle, and the law is to protect the children.

Buy a scope and rings, and shoot it.

Buy a GOOD scope, because you can also use it on other rifles. And it doesn't have to be uber-tactical - a good Leupold's a good Leupold, regardless.

Leupold 6.5-20x50 VX-III 30mm Riflescope

Can those take the recoil of .50 BMG? I thought you needed to get the more pricey ones for that.
