One of the ladies I assisted with some time back is now assisting a new shooter herself with shotguns.
And cooking...
So this new shooter, a teenage lady, has Brister's book, a BB Gun with no sights and shoots nerf balls the size of golf balls and ping pong balls.
And them scratch biscuits she tried to make and they did not work out.
She progresses and gets to shooting a 20 ga that fits her, with no sights, and busting low 7 consistently.
She gets to where she can fix scratch biscuits and gravy.
She still remembers how she goofed up them scratch biscuits too.
Lessons Learned:
20 ga load of #8 hard shot works on them messed up biscuits a lot better than a BB does.
My role is to grin.
My mentors grinned a lot, and sometimes had biscuit crumbs and gravy in their mustaches when they did.
