Okay, I think I got bit by the glock bug today.
A long time ago, I tried the G17 and one in .40 (can't remember the number). Didn't like the trigger, felt the pistol was unbalanced, and the handle was too thin. Well, today I tried a G17 for the second time and was surprised how well it felt and handled. VERY light, points naturally, trigger is manageable. I got groups the same size as with other 9mm pistols (e.g. with my KP89 and PT92AFS), although the location was up and left of center, instead of down and left as with the others.
The two things that I still do not like are that the upper left side of the handle keeps biting my thumb while some of the ejected shells kept hitting me in the face. Is there an easy way to fix both?
Also, I like longer barrels for better sight radius. Are there some specific problems with the longer versions?
If all of the above can be properly addressed, I may very well award myself with one sometime this year. And to think it happened to me, the tupperware bigot...
