As for publishing Bite Me: there are a lot of "self publishing" services out there where you can print a limited run at something like (last I checked) around $5 a book (depending on book length and how many initial copies you want). If you get (say) 100 posts that say they want a book, I'd say it'd be worth having 500 books printed out for around $4 each, selling as many as you can (I'd wager you'd sell at least 200, but that's just a guess), and have a bunch to give to friends and family as gifts (if that's your thing).
Anyway, even with a limited run of a hundred or two, you'd have minimal investment and likely (at least) recoup the cost, see what kind of a market there is for your writing specifically (in printed form), and have a nice little momento for your efforts.
Granted, you've got to finish the book, first.
Just google for "self publishing", "book printing" or "short run printing" and you'll find dozens of services. I've heard lulu.com is good, but I've not done it myself.
First Off thanks for all the kind wishes for the baby boy! He's doing great, gaining weight and generally using up diapers and getting held! I am working on this and I was three chapters ahead of where I've posted, unfortunately I started reading what I'd written and I absolutely HATED the 3 chapters I'd written. All the little stuff that made writting the first half so much fun just wasnt there.
Bottom line I'm rewriting those 3 chapters, it's taking time with the baby, school, work and I gotta find time to sleep. But it's getting done, just taking more time than I'd like.
I've spent the last few hours reading this entire thread. Very interesting, and a very good read. It was hard to stop reading to get things done.
You are a very gifted writer in that the story seems to flow very easily. Though the detour from the typical zombie fiction is there, it is welcomed. I await the next 3 chapters.
So I just discovered this thread today and read it all the way through.
As I was reading through the requests for more, I thought myself lucky that I came in late and didn't have to wait.
Then I come to the end here and find that it isn't complete and I have to ask for more like everyone else! ;-) Keep up the good writing, I liked it.
