Black Powder Classifieds

I was just wondering if the idea of a sub-forum to this one was ever considered for selling black powder firearms ? I know of a few other forums sites that do this with great success.

I realize that they could just as easily be listed in the handgun classy section but it's always nice to see them separate versus smokeless.

Usually we just note that we have something extra and our friends here see it. No need for a subforum and it's likely not one the staff would add anyhow. Too small a market.

So we can have smokeless pistol, rifle, accessories, and reloading categories but not black powder? I would be interested in the rationalization of that philosophy, but with the leadership (?) of this group I am not surprised.

I just looked at the classified and found it is non specific as to what powder or action is listed. Matter of fact, I just posted a WTB for a fluted 1860.

I just don't think there is that much traffic to warrant a BP for sell or want section.

I would love one but I understand the reluctance of the folks that do the work rather than get grumpy.

For most of us it's not a matter of traffic as it is sifting through countless ads just to find black powder firearms.

Agree with you straight-shooter on not having to sift through other non-BP posts. It works well at TFL and the volume isn't unmanageable. It looks favorable right now. I'll close this thread if it happens. Gotta go. I have to go back to work on that double barrel muzzle loader shotgun.
