I don't use it but there's been a lot of threads and range reports written about it. It's clean enough to eliminate a lot of swabbing between shots, it's fluffy & consistent, it cleans up with smokeless powder solvents and doesn't cause the dreaded crud ring that 777 can. But it's also more expensive.

There's a lot of user reviews giving it 5 stars at Cabela's:

Also a lot of folks use it on the huntingnet.com black powder sub-forum which also has a good search function and a wealth of threads about it.

You might want to check out this thread about problems that a scattering of guns have had igniting it with some 209 ML primers:

BH209 recommends regular 209 primers not the muzzle loader variety. I use it with CCI 209 primers in my Remington 700ML and it can drive tacks! No swabbing needed between shots even with tight fitting sabots.

My neighbor and friend has a Traditions Vortek. She bought some Triple Seven 3fff (a good supply of it) but she also bought one (1) container of the B-209. She is going to shoot it sometime this week and let me know how it does for her. I will post her report. After reading the post right above this one by Camodip I'm pretty sure it will be a good report. We had been talking about powders and she want's to use the Triple Seven because she know's I use it and we got off into a conversation (short one) about the B-209 and I'm curious myself as to how it does....

My Remington likes 110gr of BH209 and a 195gr 40 cal Barnes in a MMP 40x50 sabot. Well under 1 inch, even after several shots without swabbing.
My Electra likes the same bullet with 2 White Hot pellets, one ragged hole!
I haven't tried the pellets in the Rem yet but the Electra won't ignite BH209.

It would be nice if both guns would shoot well with the same load but it's too close to season here for any more experimenting.

It's suppose to be fluffy in volume but that's probably still not fluffy enough.
Cabela's had it on sale a few weeks ago for about $27.
There's an outfit that sells it for $26.65. Click on Powders & then Accurate Arms:

WE CAN COMBINE UP TO 48 LBS. OF POWDER AND PRIMERS UNDER ONE HAZMAT TO SAVE YOU MONEY.
