Blaser R8?

Hi;
does anyone have a Blaser R8...any model?
I was interested in the "Professional" in .375 H7H...or the Semi Weight, but I read the R93 thread here...and there were quite a few negative comments about the reliability, quality and design of the "straight back bolt" that has me wondering.
It seemed like a whole bunch of cool innovation, and Germans usually build good stuff?

I don't have one, and probably never will just for the fact that there is no way i could use such a beautiful rifle for anything other than being a safe queen. The straight back bolt seems like a great idea and I'm interested to see what others have to say about it. But unless I win the lottery or inherit a large sum of money ill stick with my kimbers and model 70's... lol. Sorry I had no advice

Ok...I was specifically interested in the posts I saw on another rifle forum that said "that Blaser rifles typically have a 2-4% cartridge failure-to-fire rate and that the "owners' of these rifles seem to accept that...especially unacceptable in a dangerous game rifle"???

That's surprising to hear for a company known for quality and prestige. I'd be curious to hear what a "PH" from Africa or someone similar, maybe an Alaskan guide, had to say about the straight back bolt.
