Anyone have any idea how Blazer® JHP .38 Special +P 125-Grain performs in a snubby? Will it expand and would you use it for self defense? I know there are better options, but would these be a good reserve stock behind my 135 Gold Dots?

Shoot them into various media and see if they perform to any acredited standard.
I rarely need an excuse to shoot something.

Buy a few boxes of Speer Gold Dot .38 special +P 135 grain Short Barrel loads. They feature sealed primers, and if stored properly, will keep for decades. They are the top snub nose load IMHO.

The 125 gr may shoot low, my snub shoots 148-158 gr where sights are aimed.

I don't know if these will expand even in full length barrels, let alone a snub. The only Blazer JHP I've seen that expands, and very well I might add, is their .45 Colt.

One problem is finding somewhere to test them. I ended up getting 2 boxes as a just in case reserve for my Gold Dots. Hope to never need but at $17.98/50 free shipping they are a cheap insurance policy in case of a SHTF incident. Better that FMJ I hope.
