Saw the Blazer Brass (9mm) at Academy today and bought 7 boxes (all they had). Stuff says its reloadable on the box. Payed 4.99 each!

My local Gander Mt. stocks the Blazer Brass at the same price as regular Blazer. I have used it in 45 ACP with good results. And it is reloadable. It's good stuff, and about as hot as regular Blazer.

I ordered a few boxes from Natchez in 9mm: If I didn't know better, I'd think it was any high-end ammo. I bought a box of Lawman to compare....I fired a mag of each and can't tell any difference. My reloading buddies get my empties and they like it. It seems as clean burning as the aluminum stuff: I got the usual blank stare when I asked the local WalMart guy if they plan on carrying the Blazer Brass: "Uh.....Blazer don't got no Brass ammo, but we got the aluminum." Some things never change:banghead:

I have been using blazer brass for a few months now.Cleaner than Win White box for the same price.I get it from ammoman because he has free shipping.

I've shot about 500 rounds of 9mm Blazer Brass. Good stuff and will be buying more in .45. I don't reload 9mm so if Blazer Al is cheaper, I'll stick with it in this cal.

Synoptic asked: "I had been told in the past that the aluminum Blazer is very dirty and even bad for your gun. Is this true or were they just trying to get me to buy the more expensive ammo? Other than the reloading factor, is there any reason not to use these rounds?

Whoever told you that either knows very little (next to nothing) about ammo OR he was trying to sell you something on which his profit margin was greater. Blazer (in 9mm and .40) is very clean and is more reliable (and cheaper) than the Winchester white box ammo.

Natchez sells the 9mm aluminum Blazer for $4.59/box, and Oschman (sp ??) in Houston sells it on sale for $3.99 per box.

I ordered a case of it from Natchez (in 45acp) when my tax refund came thorugh. I've shot 3 or 4 boxes and it's all right, but it seems to exacerbate a FTRTB problem I've been having with my Kimber. Granted, I shouldn't be having a FTRTB problem with ANY ball ammo, but I've been too busy with school the past few weeks to get it taken care of.

Any any case, the OAL looks the same as the WWB, but it feels like the edge of the case mouth is sharper, or protrudes further, but I can't really say for sure. Has anyone else noticed this?

Used the Brass Blazer

I have been buying the brass case Blazer and it works great. I had no problem with the Alum. case Blazer both burn really clean. I use them in both three Kimbers and a Glock.
