I tried to get a stainless steel barrel & shroud for my stainless frame Dan Wesson 22. The barrel won't fit as the shroud locating pin is too big. Has anyone gotten around this problem (other than trying to drill out the locator hole to fit the bigger pin)?

I recall reading of someone else having the the same issue. Their solution was as madcratebuilder describes.

You might drop by the danwessonforum.com and post the same question.

Had same problem on my 722 with new barrel, but not on my 715 or 744. For some reason this seems to be just a 722 problem. But as mentioned it is an easy fix.

I had ordered a 4" vent-heavy barrel for my Model 15 (made in 1983) revolver earlier this year and discovered the same issue. Before proceeding with the drilling out of the shroud hole, I decided to try using a rubber mallet and was able to tap the barrel shroud on with little difficulty. It will take a little more effort than just pulling it off by hand now, however.
I should have let CZ know, as it may not have been the anomaly I once thought it was, based on others responses.

never found that .you may try what is to be fit for the barrel..
