I asked about C H Armory single shot rifles on a thread in the long gun section, and was helped greatly by some High Roaders. I contacted Dave Davison of CH4D company as I was advised to do. He bought the C H reloading tool company from Bo Clerk last century [as he put it] and thought that Mr. Clerk was still alive, but probably in his 90ty's. Does anyone have any information about him, or if he is still with us? I bought two single shot rifles advertised as "improved highwall rifles" from a gunshop who got them from an estate. These are the only two I have ever seen, and I was hoping to get some information about them from Mr. Clerk, or perhaps an employee of his who worked there when the rifles were made. Thanks for any help you may have.

Bo Clerke's High Wall

Helluva time to write. Years after you asked the question, here I am. If you are still interested, I have one of Bo's High Wall S.S., this one in 7mm Rem-Mag. Shoots hard and straight. Ran into it used in a gun shop here in Houston. I quickly learned that the Clarke isn't what I would call an "all day shooter." With a heavy load it kicked like hell; however, I had it ported, added a quality recoil pad, a scope and a re-bluing job. That tamed it a bit.

Wish I could fill in more info, but cannot. I do know that Guns & Ammo has more on Bo and his guns in their archives.

Best of luck,
