I took my Bohica Arms Mark II out today for the 2nd time. I only had 2 rounds through it last year. I wanted to properly sight it in. I got one of the new butt stocks and cheek rest they have pictured in shotgun news. I had paid for a ACE butt pad and cheek rest almost 2 years ago, but they are not making them and this was the replacement.
So I switched from my Ace stock to the Bohica one last week and was going to get her going today.
First shot Click. After a minute pulled the round, primer strike no bang. 2nd round same thing. Tried the second round again and she fired. Third and forth round same thing strike and no ignition. Got one more to go. I was ticked by this time. I was way off on the 2 rounds i shot. I had used a laser boresighter and was shooting around 100 yards.
Since the scope needed to be moved with the new stock. I took a break and remounted the scope and bore sighted it again.
I switched ammo and first round fired no problem. But 2nd went click. At this time I was completed frustrated and it was getting dark so i called it a night.
First batch of ammo was Barrett and 2nd was American eagle. I had no problem last year with the first 2 rounds from the same lot of Barrett.
Anyone have problems with light strikes on a Bohica. I am using a DPMS lower.
Also the last round i got to go was a foot left and probably a 1.5-2 foot low. I am surprised on it being this far off after bore sighting it. I am not sure if i can adjust the scope that far. I may have jerked that shot due to being frustrated. But i wonder if my scope is toast.
If anyone has any suggestions i am open.
