Bohica ar 50bmg uppers for under $1k

Does anyone know if the May uppers have shipped? It hit the CCard two weeks ago, and I have not gotten a visit from the brown truck of happiness.

You're not even close. I got my upper 6 weeks after my cc was charged.

Acera- ask on Ar15.com, they have thread on there about it.
Actually better to go to the Bohica website. They have their own FORUM

Emails go unanswered and calls are futile. Ordered Dec 12 and received email from Chris on 26 april that I would receive call within the week. Is my calendar broken?
 
Bohica issues

I have been waiting 8 months for my upper from Bohica, he has promised it would ship 6 different times and each time it never happens. I paid in full many months ago and now I am wondering if I have been scammed by this guy. He has an excuse at every turn and now he ignores my emails asking for a simple update on what is happening. I am considering contacting an attorney to investigate if his business practices constitute fraud. How many times has he promised to ship my upper, and yet it never does come...at what point do excuses become lies and honesty becomes fraud. My search on several forums has revealed nothing has shipped from this guy since March and yet he has billed as many as 40+ people. A lot of people have decided to wait for his MK3 (recently announced), ask yourself if this is just another stall tactic to buy more time? I know many of you are sympathetic since he is new at this uppers business, had a newborn recently, and I am understanding of production delays, waiting on parts, ect. But when he has billed me in full, I expect a timely delivery to follow shortly thereafter. If I wasn't out the money, I would be far more understanding.

Chris is a stand-up guy, I've dealt with him in buying one of the first uppers. You won't get much quicker service (if any) from any of the other .50 BMG snap on upper companies.
 
I see no evidence that he is a "stand up guy", he says he will ship the upper "this week" and three weeks later I have nothing. This has happened over and over, until I get the upper or a refund, I will stand by my original statement and consider myself defrauded. As for fast service, 8 months does not qualify in my openion when Ultralite UL50 delivers their BMG upper in 4 weeks, and Ferret 50 delivers theirs in 4-6 weeks.

Fair enough. I was simply sharing my past experience with this company. Your quarrel isn't with me. :)

50 Shooter: I appreciate your offer for help and I sent you a PM.

I am not here to bash, or slander anyone. At this point I would like a refund as requested and to share my experience with others. I support the freedom of speech, welcome similar and opposing views, in the hope that this information will helps others. I believe Chris is an honest guy with the small business start up blues, but in the back of my mind I also have that nagging feeling that I’ve been taken. When I get my refund, I will promptly post that information here.
 
Chris isn't scamming anyone. 300 people have received uppers myself included. Chris does however have a very bad habit of promising people due dates that he can't meet. He would do far better not to promise any shipping times and not to raise folks' expectations repeatedly.
 
300 really?

I have been on the list since the MK 1 was offered Sep 2007, and I'm number 96, if he made 300 uppers then why don't I have one yet??? What number where you on the list and what model upper do you have? Lets open this up to anyone who has received an upper higher than 100, 200, or 300, I would love to see the proof that 300+ of these have been made in any or all models combined.
 
I have been waiting for about 8 or 9 months. I am not sweating it yet. I figure I will have my upper in a month or two. My cc just got charged.
 
my refund

I am still waiting on my refund. Below is the promise he would take care of it YESTERDAY!

My reason for “complaining” was that Chris said he would do it on X day and it appears he did not. Chris also has not responded to my email inquiry as to the status of my refund, so the only place I can communicate my side of the issue is here on this forum. I apologize in advance if Chris is overwhelmed or has been unable to take care of this for some other reason. However, when someone says they will do something on a specific day I believe they should keep to their word. If they can’t, then a simple courtesy email or call is in order. Like I said before, when I get the refund I will happily post it here and thank Chris for his effort. I have absolutely no ill will towards Chris, and I believe he is a hard working honest guy just like the rest of us.

Refund issue

UPDATE: Chris has posted on his Bohica forum that he did refund the amount I paid for the uppers. I will update again when I see the reversal appear on my CC and can confirm this.

Bohica Refunds

All wishing to avoid a scam or get a full refund from any unreputable MFG .Call your credit card company and request a full refund and you will get it. Any scammers using credit cards for payments will be shut down.Just tell the CC company that you have not recieved the goods and you want a refund in full!!
 
Ok fellas I have to keep asking (I am afraid I know the answer) has anyone gotten an upper recently? It has been over a month since the cc cleared and I am wondering if they have shipped a few? I am not upset, just anxious.
 
I haven't, but like others I'm not sweating it. The best source for updates is the forum on Chris' web site. The current estimate is middle of June. If you're not okay with that (as 80grit was not), request a refund and Chris will hook you up. If 80grit is the same person who's been posting about his refund on the bohica forum and arfcom, then he's gotten it and should update here as he promised to do.
