umm.... Where's the thread? This is cool...

Anyway, why a bolt 7.62; whoever posted this? Or what about a bolt action 7.62 x 39?

I think you mean this: CZ 527 Carbine, 7.62x39mm.

Umm... Which "you"? The thread starter was TimH, but there was no post when I came here, so I was like "WTH, that's werid" and posted.

I've gotr this thing about having multiple guns with the same cartridge. I have semis in 7.62x39 & .223 but no bolt actions. Thought this would be a nice addition.

Makes sense to me, but then I just got a 308 Savage 99 cause it can shoot the same ammo as my FN/Imbel clone.

I've also an SKS and Chinese AK Sporter, so the CZ527 is on my list as it'll do bout anything a 30-30 will, and way cheaper on ammo.

Far as that goes, if I can pick up some mags in 223 for the AK's, I'd get one of them too. And a CZ527 in 223. Had one I never got to shoot, with a full stock,

Finally, I covet a CZ 550 full stock ( mannlicher ) in 7x57 to go with my FN49 in the same caliber. Minimal recoil, and has killed several thousand elephants even if Karamojo Bell finally moveed up the the 318 Westley Richard. ( I keep 200 rounds of 175 grain JRN in case we end up with a rampaging elephant that needs stopping in downtown Hawthorne, )

I recently picked up a CZ 527 Carbine because I liked the idea of matching calibers. I now have an AK, SKS, & the CZ in 7.62x39. The CZ is a very nice rifle. Excellent workmanship overall. Set trigger really aids in accuracy. It is easily the lightest rifle I own. It makes the AK & SKS feel heavy in comparison. Buy the CZ, you'll not regret it.
