i found a remington 600 in .350 rem at a local pawn shop the other day. what a nice gun, cartridge must be hard to find. ive been looking for a shtf rifle sort of like it and i need a little help.

remington makes a newer version called the 670 i think. how similar is it to the 600? ive read what i can on the web site about it, but i want some inside info on it.

i have some requirments for this shtf rifle and i want to know what exists that has a few of these options.

reqs: be bolt action, mag fed OR have a forward mounted scope for easy loading of the box mag, must be short and under 700$ or so, must be chambered in a readily available round.

any suggestions?

I have one in .308, very handy rifle. Love it.
If 'twas me, I'd buy it in a minute, and handload .38 158 gr JHPs in it...
IIRC, Col. Cooper calls his "Fireplug" because of the cartridge appearance...

Buy it!

You didn't say how much, but if you don't want it and it is nice and around $400 I'll buy it, and give you $20 finders fee! I can't say enough good things about a .350Rem 600 !!!!!!;)  :D
