Bolt carrier group question

Does a typical bolt carrier group contain all parts to function?
Is there anything else I need to buy?
I bought the full auto 5.56 BCG from PSA fro 89$ and just checking to see if there are any other parts needed to make it operational.
This is my 1st build so I have little knowledge at this point on the AR platform.

If it is the Bolt Carrier GROUP, then yes, it should be good to go, just lube it and stick it in the AR.

Yes...a bolt carrier *group* is complete and ready to function. Be sure and follow directions for proper lubing.

Recommend you take it apart, clean it, then lube it. You'll be good to go.

If you bought this to stick in an otherwise complete upper, you might need a charging handle.


Most of the time when I see a barreled upper selling without a bolt carrier group, you also need to order a charging handle to go with it.


If you can post a link or a description of your upper, I could tell you for sure.

I know exactly what you are referring to, as far as the bolt or bolt carrier group then you are good to go. If you do not have a charging handle you will however need one as others have said.

It will work just fine for you and at an awesome price.
