When the sizing die is tight against the shell holder, then turned 1/4 turn more, it is adjusted as "right" as it can be. Then, when the case will not chamber, you have a short headspace condition in the rifle, bourne out by using the proper GO gauge. At this point an adjustment is in order. Milling the sizing die or the shell holder is such an adjustment, as is re-chambering the barrel.

I agree with rc, the vast majority of the time, proper die adjustment will take care of rounds that won't chamber properly.

It's not reasonable to expect properly adjusted dies to compensate for a defective rifle with an improperly cut chamber. That's not really a problem with your reloads, it's a problem with your rifle.

Did the rifle chamber and fire factory ammunition properly?
