The cops (or anyone else) can blast away at em as far as I'm concerned.

"Texas police released video of a high-speed chase that shows bank robbery suspects firing high-powered rifles at five police cruisers, sending broken glass flying and injuring one officer .... Amazingly, only one officer suffered minor injuries from flying glass."

That's exactly what I'm talking about. The Barrow gang wouldn't have shot windows out--they would have killed many LEO's. It's another case of banditos having firepower but no real idea of how to apply it. When a talented shooter goes bad, he is the first of criminals.

Yeah, Norm, come to think of it, you're right. Must have been during the Ferguson era. Lots of good lawmen quit in disgust. It's just that Frank Hamer will always be remembered by us Old Farts as a Ranger.

Tome Keilman auctioned off a bunch of Hamer and B&C stuff back around 18 years ago or so. The Raymond Brown collection. Shame it all got split up.

His son became, IIRC, a game warden; worked down around San Marcos/New Braunfels. Nice guy...
