I like revolvers. I like snubb nose revolvers. I guess it was too many Bogart and Cagney black and white movies. Just something about ‘em.
I just finished a book _ The Snubby Revolver, The ECQ, Backup and Concealed Carry Standard by Ed Lovette.
Terrific book divided into 3 parts. First part goes into why a snubby today when most everyone is marching to the beat of the pistol is a good chapter and then the author goes into the usual stuff on holsters, grips, front sights, triggers, gunfight loads, and speedloading w/updated information on ammo.
Part 2 covers the tactics and training related to the snubby. Mental alertness, maintaining that alertness, surveillance awareness, basic tactics, always have a exit, special training w/snubby and car jacking tactics.
Part 3 talks about the snub being a bulldog and gives a little history.
Lots of true stories of the author and people he has known. I think its a great read, I have no financial interest.
